Aamito Lagun
has been named the first Africas Next Top Model. The Ugandan was named
yesterday after a tough decision between Aamito and Nigeria’s Opeyemi
Awoyei and Angola’s Michaela Pinto. “I am the winner of Africa’s next
top model cycle 1 May God be praised.” She announced on her Instagram.
The show that was hosted by super model oluchi olarndi,
the Africa Next Top Model competition started with 12 contestants on
November, 10 2013 on Africa Magic Entertainment. Africa’s Next Top
Model, Cycle 1 is the first instalment of the reality television show.
Aamito is expected to start a career in the modelling industry.
The show features aspiring models from the entire African continent. 20 year old Aamito Stacie Lagum got a one-year modelling contract with a New York based modelling agency, DNA Model Management, a product endorsement deal with P&G, a one -year contact as an ambassador for South African Tourism, SNAPP, Etisalat, Verve, and a cash prize of 50,000 USD.
Other judges at the show includes Josie Borain, a former super model and Remi Adetiba, a photographer and creative director.
