This is not a happy time for Boyz II Men, the American R&B vocal group best known for emotional ballads and acappella harmonies, are trying to stop a movie producer from making use of their name in an upcoming movie, this name issue is becoming a nagging problem from Nigeria where Iyabo Ojo and Fathia Balogun have fought their ex-hubbies who will not want them to use their surname, now to Boys II Men, who are on bended knees begging but the producer is not willing to listen to them.
The group is a quartet, featuring baritone Nathan Morris alongside tenors Wanya Morris, and Shawn Stockman, who wooed a lot of lovers with their songs until their bass singer Michael McCary left the group in 2003 due to health issues. The group is asking the filmmaker to change the title of his new movie “Boys 2 Men” and if he refuses, they’re going to court and the producer wants them to court.
In 2013, the group had appeared on The View along with New Kids on the Block and 98 Degrees to announce a mega tour that they participated with these groups. They have released their 2014 tour dates but currently, their number one issue is to stop this producer from making a chuck of fortune from their name and it is only a court that can do this for them.
