Funke Akindele
of the “Jenifa” fame is a major actress on our screen. With her
outstanding roles in several movies, the actress is no doubt a
professional in her endeavor – Nollywood. Recruiting her protégé from
the South through the East to the far North, Funke Akindele currently
stands as an actress to beat in Nollywood.
With a
failed marriage last year,
the actress is still waxing strong. It is not clear yet if Funke is
seeing some one yet. But the gist in town says that the actress is no
more the owner of her Agbalajobi Estate off WEMCO road, Ikeja building.
Gist has it that the actress has use the building for a huge loan
facility from a bank. We heard the loan could not be paid back and the
said bank has taken custody of the building.
We heard the actress used the fund she got from the new generation
bank for the production of her movies which shot her to fame. We are not
clear why the actress has refuse to pay back her loan. But sources says
she might have lost interest in the property… The building which sets
the actress back with over Thirty million naira was bought in January
2011.
