Femi Kuti, Weird MC Head To The Studio For “Palava” Remix

Just few days ago, Femi Kuti  told the world that he is not ready to get married again, and will not be going for the Grammy Awards were he has been nominated. And now, Femi Kuti is in the news again. We overheard Femi has returned to the studio with Weird MC to record the remix to the song “Palava”. Weird MC has not been lucky with music. She has gone underground since three years ago when it was obvious that her songs is no more fashionable. We heard she is on hibernation to reinvent her career.


The two, who enjoyed a long relationship for over ten years returned to the studio to add a modern flavor to the song that was officially recorded and released by the late Fela Anikulapo Kuti. This is also an effort to re-launch Weird MC’s career back on track. Like a little help of sort… The rapper has also worked with Femi’s former wife, Funke Kuti as her manager but the two parted ways based on working relationship flaws.

Femi Kuti has been up and doing on twitter of late so he returned our tweet last night when asked about the authenticity of the story and he wrote “Yes we are and it’s almost done”. On when the song will be released, he says “Any time after Grammy”. He concluded.
 

 Weird MC is said to have been in the studio for more than three times to re-work her third studio album. We heard she has no plans of getting married… well good luck the Weird one. And let’s hope the song launched her to that…
