World No 1 Tiger Woods will have the chance to keep winning US PGA Tour titles at Torrey Pines through 2019 as a result of a five-year sponsorship extension deal announced on Tuesday.
The deal agreement will keep the Farmers Insurance Open going beyond 2014, when the current naming rights contract ends.
Woods will try to defend his title at Torrey Pines on January 22-26 on a course where he has won eight times, seven at the PGA event and again at the 2008 US Open, which remains the most recent of his 14 major titles.
Woods remains four shy of matching the all-time record of major golf titles won by Jack Nicklaus and his 79 career PGA Tour titles rank second on the all-time list to the 82 of the late Sam Snead.

"I look forward to defending my title at the Farmers Insurance Open and appreciate their support of the PGA Tour," Woods said. "Torrey Pines is part of some great memories for me. I watched the tour here with my pop during the old Andy Williams tournament.
"I appreciate all the support from the fans in San Diego. They have always been great to me."
This week Woods is competing at the Turkish Airlines Open in Istanbul.
