The Federal Government has brought charges against a suspected Boko
Haram member, Abdulmannan Obadiki, who is being held in connection with
the 2012 attack on the Deeper Life Church, Lokoja, Kogi State.
About 20 worshippers were shot dead in a mid-night attack, when gunmen stormed the church during a night vigil service in August last year.
Obadiki is charged for terrorism related activities, including illegal possession of firearm, in a six-count charge filed against him by the office of the Attorney General of the Federation.
He was alleged to have committed the offences in collaboration with others, now at large.
Obadiki, light in complexion and dressed in native attire, was taken before Justice Gabriel Kolawole of the Federal High Court, Abuja, on Wednesday by security operatives.
His planned arraignment was aborted due to his inability to secure the service of a lawyer.
He would be arraigned in December 12.
