AFC Wimbledon's FA Cup hopes were dashed on Friday when some of their squad, including goalkeeper Ross Worner, were held up by a traffic accident before their 3-1 round defeat to Coventry.
Wimbledon, formed out of the ashes of the 1988 FA Cup winners, took the lead against the 1987 champions after 54 minutes through Michael Smith.
However, Coventry equalised through Callum Wilson following a mistake from stand-in goalkeeper Seb Brown, who had been brought in to replace Worner after a road accident had held up some of the Dons squad and caused the kick-off to be delayed.
Coventry took the lead in the 60th minute through Carl Baker with Callum Kennedy putting through his own goal 10 minutes later.
