Ogunbote salutes SuperSport’s initiative

Sharks gaffer, Gbenga Ogunbote, believes SuperSport should be commended for live coverage of the Glo Premier League.
Ogunbote, who rescued Sharks from relegation at the end of just concluded season, said it’s a worthy initiative aimed at promoting talents in the league.
“It’s a strategy that will boost the performance of players and improve the league. I don’t see any reason why I’ll be uncomfortable as a coach when matches involving my team are shown on television.
“Players will even be at their best when matches are live. It’s an opportunity to showcase the qualities of any good team,” Ogunbote, who led Sunshine Stars to their best-ever performance locally and in Africa told SuperSport.com.

“Sharks scored some fantastic goals when our matches were live. Without TV, no one would have seen the beauty of those goals,” Ogunbote said to SuperSport.com.
Top stars like Jonah Abutu, Fortune Omoniwari and former Under20 striker, Christian Pyagbara, who is now with the Super Eagles for 2014 CHAN also scored amazing goals for the club.
