Kell Brook remained undefeated when he stopped Vyacheslav Senchenko in Sheffield on Saturday night.
The fight, an eliminator to fight IBF welterweight champion Devon Alexander from the United States next year, was over after 2 minutes and 56 seconds of the fourth round.
The Ukrainian had also taken a count in the third and Brook wasted no time to end the bout and improve his professional record to 34-2, with 23 wins inside the distance.
Earlier Brian Rose took his record to 25-1-1; 7 when he beat Javier Maciel on a split decision in a WBO junior lightweight title eliminator over 12 rounds.
Maciel, from Argentina, won 115-113 on one of the cards but Rose outscored him 117-111 and 116-111 on the two others. Maciel lost his unbeaten record and dropped to 27-1, with 20 shortcut wins.
Heavyweight Anthony Joshua won his second professional fight when he stopped Paul Butlin (14-20; 3) in the second round. Joshua, now 2-0;2, won the gold medal in the super-heavyweight division at the Olympics Games in London last year.
In Oldenberg, Germany, Arthur Abraham beat Giovanni de Carolis on points in a super-middleweight bout. The German, a former middleweight and super-middleweight champion, won 120-108 on one card and 119-109 on the two others.
Abraham improved his record to 38-4, with 28 knockouts and De Carolis now stands at 20-5; 10.
In a junior middleweight bout, Jack Culcay beat Guido Nicolas Pitto on points – 115-113 on two cards and 117-112 – to improve to 15-1, with 10 knockouts. His only defeat was in a previous fight to Pitto, who now stands at 18-2; 78.
Anatoliy Dudchenko (19-2; 13) beat Robert Woge (12-1; 10) over 12 rounds to claim the IBF intercontinental light-heavyweight title.
OTHER WEEKEND RESULTS
Hatillo, Costa Rica: Bryan Vasquez regained the WBA interim super-featherweight belt when he won on a fifth-round majority technical decision against Rene Gonzalez.
Gonzalez was cut above the left eye in a clash of heads and the officials went to the scorecards. Vasquez was leading 49-47, 49-46 and 48-48. His record improved to 32-1; 17 and Gonzalez’s dropped to 31-6-1; 23.
Juncos, Puerto Rico: Jose Lopez (11-0; 9) knocked out Sergio Gomez (17-18; 13) in the eighth round of a super-bantamweight bout.
Lightweight Ken Alvarez won on points over six rounds against Kevin Nieves and in a minimumweight fight Angel Acosta stopped Pedro Ortiz in the fourth round.
Totoli, Italy: Andrea Sarritzu and Valery Yanchi drew in a bout for the European flyweight title. The scores were 117-112 for Yanchi, 117-114 fot Sarritzu and 114-114.
Sarritzu’s record now stands at 34-6-5, with 13 knockouts and Yanchi’s at 22-3-2; 7.
Luca Giacon (22-1; 20) stopped Mate Hornyak (9-2-1; 3) in the second round of a super-lightweight bout and super-welterweight Emanuele Della Rosa (33-1; 9) won on points over six rounds against Semjons Moroseks (18-23-1; 7).
Cebu City, Philippines: Undefeated Genesis Servania won the vacant WBO intercontinental super-bantamweight title when he stopped Rafael Concepcion in the second round. Servania improved to 22-0; 8 and Concepcion fell to 18-6-1; 8.
In a bout for the vacant WBO international super-flyweight title Arthur Villanueva knocked out Edgar Martinez in a minute and 49 seconds.
Washington: Demarcus Corley, a former WBO junior welterweight champion, stopped Javier Garcia in the seventh round to take his record to 40-2-1; 24. Garcia’s fell to 10-2-2; 9.
