Odu’a plans to revive Sketch, creates 2,000 jobs

The Group Managing Director of Odu’a Investment Corporation, Adebayo Jimoh, on Friday said the ongoing revitalisation of the company, especially in its Cocoa House office, Ibadan, had generated more than 2,000 employment for different categories of people.
He promised that more jobs would be created with the completion of the Heritage and Cocoa Malls. Jimoh added that there was plan to bring back Sketch Newspaper as well.
The malls, he said, were completed at the cost of N3bn, having partnered with Top Services Limited, built on the old premises of Sketch Newspaper.

He said, “The building of the malls is geared by our passion to revive, enliven and revitalise the shopping delight and needs of shoppers in the South West states. Over 2,000 jobs have been created to our people since the commencement of business in the malls. Heritage Mall was wholly financed by Odu’a Investment Company but Cocoa Mall is a partnership agreement with Top Services.
“The development will in no way affect the planned move to revive the Sketch Newspapers. The final entitlements of most ex-staff off the company have been paid and Odu’a is already in discussion with intending partners who have shown interest in taking up Sketch’s patent. The re-birth of the paper will be announced soon.”
