Andre Ayew talks tough

Football | Ghana

In exactly a week, the Black Stars will play Egypt in the much anticipated World Cup playoff and midfielder Andre Ayew is talking tough.
The son of Abedi Pele says Ghana is the odds-on favourite to win the game simply because the Black Stars are better.
"You know we are the better side and we are the team which are favorites against Egypt so if we play our football well and everyone is in shape we won't have a problem."

That said, the Marseille man acknowledges the Pharaohs will not be easy to beat on October 15.
"It will be a difficult game and we know what the Egyptians are capable of doing but I believe we are playing in front of our home crowd. What is important is that Ghana gets to the World Cup so at the end of whatever happens in Kumasi on Tuesday, we should know its not the end. It is a two game affair and we will be prepared for it."
Andre arrived with younger brother Jordan who is making a return to the national team for the first time since a dispute with the technical team led to his temporary retirement.
