The Clever Boys were easy to analyse Golden Arrows coach Manqoba Mngqithi said after his team won 3-2 in the Telkom Knockout at Bidvest Stadium on Friday evening.
Arrows had by far the better chances in attack in the second period after trailing 2-1 at the break.
Mngqithi put down his side's plethora of chances to the way Wits approached the game.
“Their game and their strategy was very easy,” Mngqithi said after the game.
“When we analysed their strategy and how we could deal with them, we came back in the second half a completely different side.”

Mngqithi said neutralising experienced Wits striker Benjani Mwaruwari was key to stopping Wits.
“We were able to deal with the direct ball to Mwaruwari, that was really causing a lot of problems."
In the league Arrows have netted just three times in six outings which leaves them fourth from bottom, but having scored as many goals in one Cup game pleased Mngqithi.
“We've showed a lot of character. We've been very unfortunate in past matches with the chances we've created but we did not take them.
“Even if you look at the game today, if you look at how many chances Rudi (Rudolf Bester) got, but still they could not give us anything.
"Fortunately at the end he managed to score the winner."
Mngqithi said he was relieved his team was advancing to the next stage.
"I was feeling bad for them. From the first match they have been fighting and their level of fitness is very high.
“We are not getting the outcomes we deserve and people are beginning to panic. Generally the problem is that our strikers have not been finding the back of the net."
"The moment we start finding the net we will have a very good season," he said.
