Ethiopia goalkeeper Sisay Bancha says they will bank on lessons learnt from their African Cup of Nations defeat to Nigeria in South Africa earlier this year when the two sides clash in a World Cup play off.
The custodian who saw his side suffer a 2-0 defeat courtesy of two penalties converted by Victor Moses in the group stages, has vowed not to repeat the same mistake in the first leg meeting on October 13.
"During the African Cup of Nations, we gifted Nigeria two goals from the mistakes we did in the area. Victor Moses stepped up and converted while I was between the sticks once before being sent off. That happened in the past but now we won't do the same."

"We are taking care of any incidents of such nature that might happen on the pitch in the 90 minutes. We learnt many things from that fixture and defeat."
Sisay added that they will bank on feverish support at National Stadium in Addis, a venue that has intimidated opponents for years as they seek revenge for that defeat in January.
"This is the time to revenge against Nigeria and there is nowhere better to do it than at home. This is our soil, we can defeat them here and get the win infront of our supporters who will have an effect in this match."
