Ogunbote proud of Sharks turnaround

Sharks gaffer, Gbenga Ogunbote, is satisfied that his efforts has helped the club to bounce back after romancing the bottom four in the top flight for a long time.
Bookmakers predicted Port-Harcourt‘s surviving oldest team was a candidate for relegation due to poor results experienced in the opening days of the league, but Ogunbote has turned out to be the turnaround maintenance specialist needed for the club.

Sharks have climbed to 7th position on the log after scoring 10 goals in three home matches and a draw at 3SC in recent matches.
“I’m not surprised with the results so far because we’ve worked hard as a team,”Ogunbote told SuperSport.com. Ogunbote revealed that friends and colleagues told him not to accept the Sharks offer due to the position of the club.
“I like challenges that’s why I accepted the job. In fact, I was confident of changing the fortunes of the team,” Ogunbote said to Super Sport.com.
Placed 7th on the 20-team log with 50 points, Sharks now occupy their best position this term and look good to record more decent results.
