A green and white wave for Ethiopia

Despite a quick in and out for the battle of Addis by the Super Eagles on Sunday, Nigeria will still be arriving with a huge contingent of fans. This is according to an announcement made by the Minister of Sports, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, revealing that President Goodluck Jonathan had approved funds for the fans to attend the do or die cracker.
"I am delighted to say that Mr President has given us his full support” he said.
"He has approved funds for the NFA to ensure that large a contingent of Nigerian fans are taken to Ethiopia for the game.Everyone who witnessed AFCON 2013 knows how vociferous Ethiopian fans could be; so, we are responding appropriately to ensure that large contingents of Nigerian supporters are represented. As Mr President has approved financial support for this, we are doing everything possible to ensure that we come back from Ethiopia with a very good result," he further added.

The Minister an ardent football fan himself also relayed to supersport.com that he was kept abreast daily on the ongoing preparations and camp in Abuja and was quite confident that the Super Eagles would not let Nigeria down.
The game will be live on Supersport Channel 9 with the match build up commencing at 3 pm local time.
