Warri Wolves forward, Joseph Osadiaye has said his side are already preparing for the last road trip game against 3SC in the Glo Premier League Matchday 37 at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Ibadan.
The Seasiders will have to first confront visiting Akwa United next weekend in Matchday 36 tie at the Warri Township Stadium.
However, Osadiaye said his side are thinking more of the clash against the Oluyole Warriors than the Uyo-based side encounter as the 3SC tie will determine the continental ticket the side will get.
“We’re already preparing for 3SC in Ibadan, the encounter is crucial and could make or mar our dream for continental ticket.
“We need the points more than the hosts as their fate appears sealed even before the game comes up, so we’ll even ask them the favour to allow us have the points to position ourselves for good finish on the log.
“We’re targeting 61 points at the end of the season which will guarantee us ticket on the continent though I would rather prefer the Champions League ticket than the Confederation Cup.
“We’re not in anyway underrating our Week 36 opponents, Akwa United. We’re certain we’ll beat Akwa United and ABS on the home soil for the six points.
“3SC are down and somehow out and may want to play for pride or the spoilers but the three points we picked at Kwara United has boosted our chances and we won’t allow the opportunity to go continental slip off our hands,” said the Super Eagles hitman to supersport.com.
Warri Wolves have climbed to the fifth position on 52 points following the three points and three goals the NFF Appeals Committee awarded the side in the disputed Matchday 29 tie at Kwara United in llorin.
