Algeria minister of sports has confirmed that more than 1000 supporters of the national team will be flown to Ouagadougou for the 2014 World Cup qualifying clash against Burkina Faso on October 11.
The Fennec Foxes coach Vahid Halilhodzic has highlighted the need for a vibrant support during the encounter against the Stallions at the 40,000-seater Stade du 4-Aout.
The Burkina Faso Football Federation has offered 1000 tickets to Algeria and might increase the number to 1,500 upon request, officials said.
“We have a commission that is currently organising how best to airlift our supporters to Burkina Faso before October 11,” Algerian sports minister Mohamed Tahmi said.
“We have been offered 1000 places at the stadium for now and we will make sure our supporters travel in safe conditions to attend the meeting.”
The return leg will be take place on November 19 in Blida.
