Ajax Cape Town will be looking to exact revenge from their first round exit to SuperSport United in the Telkom Knockout last year when they meet in a rematch on Saturday afternoon.
The match will be played at the Lucas Moripe Stadium, kick-off at 3pm.
The Urban Warriors were given a second chance to redo their failings from last season when they head over to Pretoria looking to better their previous appearances in the Telkom Knockout.
Then SuperSport were headed by Gavin Hunt, while Jan Pruijn began his eight-match tenure on the bench of Ajax in this very same encounter.

Ajax were eliminated 4-3 on penalties after a 1-1 scoreline in 90 minutes and Franklin Cale, who was playing for the Matsatsantsa at the time, was on the winning end of the encounter.
“We are playing SuperSport and they have one of the best coaches in the country, Cavin Johnson. He knows how Ajax plays and our movements because he comes from the youth [set-up],” says the midfielder.
“I am excited. It is against my former team and, of course, I want to win. I think the players also want to win.”
Having seen the last encounter boil down to penalties, Cale admits that a lot of emphasis has been put on the spot-kicks in training and that he foresees his backline being placed under pressure.
“I think our players are confident [in penalty taking], that is why we have been practicing the whole week with it,” he added. “But I believe it won’t go to penalties- we will win it in fulltime.
“I think the most difficult thing will be for our defenders. They have very quick and fast players up front. They also have the tall guy, Mame Niang, who is almost two metres.
“He has a good header of the ball and he surprises the wingers. If our defenders do what they do best and work on the things the coach told them to do we will be fine.”
Cavin Johnson’s men have been a revelation this season, but have lately seen their cause hit a bumpy road when they suffered a defeat and two draws in their League encounter.
Striker Mame Niang believes taking part in the cup game will prove to be a good distraction for both SuperSport and Ajax’s domestic form.
“Cup games are always different than that of the league- it is a different atmosphere,” says the lanky Senegalese.
“We want to get our heads off the league so it’s good for us because we are on the back of two draws and a loss. The coach wants to win and for us it is a battle for pride.
“I think being away from the league will help Ajax mentally. It is always good pressure going away from the league and the cup is a different ball game.
“I am sure they will throw what they have at us, but I think it will be a nice game because we play nice football and so do they.”
