“How My Cousin Married My Boyfriend” – Nollywood Actress Opens Up On The Worst Betrayal Of Her Life

Nollywood actress, Mina Horsefall recently opens up on what she describes as the worst betrayal of her life.
In an interview with Encomium magazine this week, she talks about how her boyfriend (now ex) who she dated for two years, and her cousin, utterly betrayed her and broke her heart.
She reveals that she still has not gotten over the betrayal and that she does not think she will ever forgive both of them.

Hear her:
“My first cousin and my ex betrayed me. The whole story is complicated. She dated my boyfriend and married him. I had no idea what was going on until they were about to get married because she was pregnant for him. I did not introduce him to her. She knew him. He was my Uncle’s best man and we were in the bridal train. He met us together and went after me. We had a relationship for some years, two years at a stretch, then it became off and on and all those times she knew. She was even engaged to someone else at the time. Unknown to me she ‘worked’ her NYSC down to Lagos to have my boyfriend. She was living with him and it didn’t make any sense to me. Until later on, I found out they were getting married. What pained me most and the worst part of it was when I got to hear about it and confronted him, he said he can never do anything with my sister and there you are getting her pregnant and marrying her. It got all messed up. This happened in September 2012. I haven’t forgiven them. I don’t think I ever will”
What do you think of her story? Have you ever experience such betrayal or know anyone else who has? Do you have any advice for her?

Eaglets are future Eagles — Iran’s Coach
The sweat merchant of the Iranian U17 team, Ali Doustimehr has tipped the Golden Eaglets as the future of Nigeria’s senior national team after the players’ impressive 4-1 bashing of his side in the second round of the U17 World Cup taking place in the United Arab Emirates.
The Eaglets were rampant against the Asians and they left no one in doubt of their determination to beat their foes and secure a berth in the last eight of the cadet championship.
In an interview with journalists shortly after the match decided at the Khalifa Bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain, Doustimehr said the power play and the robust attacking style of the Eaglets made them very unpredictable, and he heaped praises on the coaching crew for selecting such a youthful side that could make Nigeria’s Super Eagles a force to reckon with in the future.
“I want to congratulate the Golden Eaglets for the way they have played against my boys; they are the future of your national team.
“They played a very special kind of football that one may tend to doubt their true ages,” he said.

Awoniyi, who has become a midfield maestro since replacing injured Success Isaac in Nigeria’s 3-3 draw with Sweden in their second game of the competition, was the engine room when the West Africans beat Iran to book a quarter final ticket.

Mikel hails Mourinho impact at Chelsea

Mikel Obi
Chelsea midfielder Mikel Obi has praised coach Jose Mourinho for the positive impact he has made since returning to the club at the start of the season.
The Blues are currently in second place on the Premier League standings and first in their group in the Champions League and Mikel believes the Portuguese has helped to restore their winning mentality.
“This game is all about winning and the manager that brought this transformation of winning to this club is back now,”  the Super Eagles star  told Chelsea TV.
“He still has the same idea of how he wants us to approach every game with a win, win mentality.
“I came to this club at 18 and he made me to think win, win, win. Whenever you see him, you see motivation.

Liverpool manager wanted me at Chelsea – Moses

Victor Moses
Liverpool’s on-loan forward Victor Moses very nearly became a Chelsea player more than five years before actually making the move to Stamford Bridge.
Moses was an academy product at Crystal Palace in the previous decade and made his Premier League debut with the Eagles.
It was the same time that his current Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers was youth team manager under Jose Mourinho at Chelsea.
Rodgers became an admirer of Moses’ talents, and the 22-year-old admitted he was being wooed for a switch after just a few sessions with the Blues. Moses eventually joined Chelsea in 2012.
“I spoke to (Rodgers) when I was 16 and he wanted me to come to Chelsea, the Nigeria winger  told Liverpool’s official site.

IBF minimumweight champion Katsunari Takayama of Japan will defend his title against Virgilio Silvano in December.
Takayama will make the first defence of his belt when he takes on the Filipino in Osaka on December 3, his handlers said on Wednesday.
The 30-year-old Japanese fighter won the title when he beat Mario Rodriguez on points in the Mexican city of Guasave in March.
The fight against Silvano will be on the same card as the super-flyweight unification match between Japan's IBF champion Daiki Kameda and WBA title-holder Liborio Solis of Venezuela.
It will be Takayama's first fight at home in four years and five months. He gave up his Japanese professional boxing licence in late 2009 to concentrate on fighting abroad. But he renewed the licence in July after winning the IBF crown.

It could be third time lucky for Tete

Boxing | South Africa

Zolani Tete has much to fight for when he takes on Juan Carlos Sanchez in Mexico on Saturday night.
The South African, a former World Boxing Foundation flyweight champion, is up against a former IBF champion. They meet in Hermosillo in an IBF junior bantamweight title eliminator.
Tete will probably earn more than he would have received for a fight in South Africa and victory over the Mexican is certain to bring him more money, respect and popularity.
But he faces one of the toughest tasks of his career. Sanchez, 22, has won nine of his 19 professional fights inside the distance. He lost only one and drew in another.
He won the IBF flyweight belt when he outpointed Rodrigo Guerrero in February last year. He retained it against Juan Alberto Rosas and Rodel Mayol before being stripped of the belt after failing to make the weight against Roberto Domingo Sosa in June this year.
The fight went on and Sanchez won on points over 12 rounds. In September he stopped Darwin Zamora in the seventh round. Fighting in Mexico,he will be hard to beat.

Ninth seed Gasquet, enjoying his best season since he reached the last four at Wimbledon and a career-high world No 7 spot in 2007, looks set to grab one of the three remaining tickets to next week's season-ending London event.
For a place in the last eight, Gasquet will take on Japanese Kei Nishikori, who ended local favourite Tsonga's hopes by prevailing 1-6 7-6(4) 7-6(7) after saving two match points.
World No 2 Novak Djokovic started his campaign with a routine second-round 7-6(3) 6-3 win over French qualifier Pierre-Hugues Herbert.
The Serb staved off two set points in the opening stanza then stepped up a gear and never looked back. He next faces either American John Isner or Pole Michal Przysiezny.

All the leading fancies had few problems at the Paris Masters on Wednesday as Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer, David Ferrer, Juan Martin Del Potro, Thomas Berdych and Stanislas Wawrinka advanced to the third round.
Federer's 6-4, 6-4 victory over South African Kevin Anderson was enough to secure his spot at the World Tour Finals in London, his 12th straight appearance at the season's glamour finale.
"It's magnificent to come back to Paris which is close to my heart especially after 2009 (his only French Open triumph) and 2011," when he won the Paris Masters.
"I'm very happy to get the win tonight."
At a packed Bercy arena, world No 1 Nadal turned in a trademark swashbuckling display to defeat Spanish compatriot Marcel Granollers 7-5, 7-5.
Nadal, 27, hasn't played at the Paris tournament since 2009 and is attempting to become the first player since Andre Agassi in 1999 to win both the French Open and Paris Masters in the same year.
Nadal advances to a last-16 meeting against last year's surprise finalist Jerzy Janowicz.

Vettel goes for 7th straight F1 win

Motorsport | Formula 1

Sebastian Vettel © Gallo Images

World champion Sebastian Vettel is so utterly dominating Formula One that few will bet against him winning a seventh straight race and 11th this year at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix this weekend.
Vettel clinched his fourth straight world title at the Indian GP last weekend to enhance his standing as one of the F1 greats.
The German has won an incredible 10 of 16 races so far, and has shaded second-placed Ferrari driver Fernando Alonso almost to irrelevancy with just three races left.
But that won't quell Vettel's desire for more success.
His consistency has been such that he has secured either pole position or second place on the grid in the past eight races, and only once has qualified lower than third all season - a ninth at the Chinese GP in April.
That rare setback is a distant memory and, given his phenomenal consistency in qualifying and on race day, there appears little to stop Vettel from with another win at the Yas Marina circuit, where he clinched his first world title in 2010.

Lauda determined to persuade Brawn to stay

Ross Brawn © Gallo Images

Mercedes non-executive chairman Niki Lauda has responded to new speculation about Ross Brawn's future as principal of the Formula One team by repeating his wish for him to stay.
Brawn's position has been open to conjecture since early in the year when Toto Wolff took over as Mercedes motorsport head and the team signed Paddy Lowe from McLaren in a senior executive position.
Mercedes declined to comment on media reports that Brawn had now decided to leave after the season-ending Brazilian Grand Prix next month, but Lauda spoke of "total rubbish".
"The situation is absolutely clear: I spoke to Ross a while ago and we agreed that he will come back to me after the final race of the season in Brazil to tell me whether he wants to stay or go," British media quoted him as saying ahead of Sunday's Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
"I am trying everything I can to encourage and motivate him to stay. I am the one who asked him to stay. I want him to do it but it is not my decision," added the retired triple world champion.
"If he stays. He will be team principal - nothing else - or he will retire."

Lorenzo fighting until the end

Jorge Lorenzo could not have put up a better defence of his World Championship and he is determined to go all-out again at the Valencia season-finale.
After appearing to be out of the title race after the Sepang round, Lorenzo has proved that it's not over until the fat lady sings as he won at Phillip Island and Motegi.
With Championship pacesetter Marc Marquez disqualified in Australia and finishing second in Japan, Lorenzo is still in with a shout of retaining the title.
The Yamaha rider heads into the final race in Spain needing to win while Marquez must finish fifth or lower.
"Let's see what happens in Valencia, but I think we are doing great," Lorenzo said.
"This track probably was the hardest for us to get the victory at but we did it.
"I am also the rider with the most victories, which is important.
"The only bad thing is we only recovered five points to Marc, but we tried our best and the things that we could do we did.
"Until we finish the race and we finish the Championship we cannot say the Championship is over and we win it or we will lose it - you never know what can happen."

Brazil playmaker Kaka scored his first goal, a delightful curling shot, since his return to AC Milan at the start of the season but his struggling team were held 1-1 at home by Lazio in Serie A on Wednesday.
Second-placed Napoli won 2-1 at Fiorentina who were furious after midfielder Juan Cuadrado was sent off after twice being booked for diving in the penalty area, with the second incident coming in stoppage time.
Champions Juventus, helped by a trademark Andrea Pirlo free kick, trounced Catania 4-0 to stay level on points with Napoli.
Napoli and Juventus have 25 points from 10 games, two behind leaders AS Roma who host Chievo Verona on Thursday.

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti lauded Gareth Bale's contribution after the Welshman scored twice and made two more goals as Real thrashed Sevilla 7-3 on Wednesday.
Bale was making his first start at the Santiago Bernabeu and soon had his first home goal when he thumped in the opener on 13 minutes.
He then had a slice of luck as his free-kick deflected in off Alberto Moreno for the second.
Cristiano Ronaldo then went onto score a hat-trick and Karim Benzema twice, with Bale setting one goal for each of his strike partners as Madrid completed by far their most devastating offensive performance since Ancelotti took charge.
"Tonight everyone saw the real Gareth," Ancelotti said.
"He played really well, showing fantastic skills. It takes time but it was a necessity, now he doesn't have problems physically and he is improving his confidence so he will be very important for us in the future."
Despite being delighted with the performance of his front three, though, Ancelotti was disappointed with how Real let Sevilla back into the game after racing into a 3-0 lead.

The title credentials of leaders Arsenal and third-placed Liverpool will come under scrutiny when they meet in a heavyweight Premier League clash on Saturday.
Arsenal, top of the table with 22 points, have only lost one league match this season, on the opening day against Aston Villa, but have been beaten by Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League and Chelsea in the League Cup in the past week.
The visit of Liverpool, on 20 points, is only the second time they have met a team with realistic top-four ambitions following a win over local rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
Manager Arsene Wenger fielded a weakened side against Chelsea and he said it was important not to read too much into recent results.
"Let's not jump too quickly to conclusions because if you take the points we have made since the first of January, we have made more than anyone else," he told reporters after the 2-0 home loss to Chelsea.

Cristiano Ronaldo grabbed a hat-trick and Gareth Bale became the fifth British player to score for Real Madrid at the Bernabeu in La Liga when he struck twice in an action-packed 7-3 win over Sevilla on Wednesday.
Making his first home start for the Spanish club, Bale also conjured two assists in a performance that will help dispel doubts about the €100 million winger's form and fitness since his record move from Tottenham Hotspur.
France striker Karim Benzema, who has been struggling to find the net for both club and country, also helped himself to two goals as third-placed Real closed to within two points of Atletico Madrid ahead of their game at Granada on Thursday.
Carlo Ancelotti's team looked far from convincing at times and let Sevilla back into the match after taking an early 3-0 lead but what eventually became a rout was a welcome boost after Saturday's 2-1 defeat at Barcelona.
Sevilla played the final quarter of an hour with 10 men after midfielder Stephane M'Bia was shown a second yellow card for catching substitute Luka Modric with a flailing arm and it was the first time in almost 50 years that 10 goals were scored in a La Liga match at the Bernabeu.

Manchester City reached the quarterfinals of the League Cup after they finally broke down a resilient Newcastle United to win 2-0 after extra time on Wednesday, while Tottenham Hotspur needed penalties to get past Hull City.
City, who made 10 changes from the team that played Chelsea in the league on Sunday, were far from fluent but came through a testing encounter with goals from substitute Alvaro Negredo and Edin Dzeko in the first period of extra time.
Tottenham earned a late reprieve when Harry Kane made it 2-2 in extra time and then booked a place in the last eight when Hull's Ahmed Elmohamady missed his penalty to hand Spurs an 8-7 win.
It was Tottenham's first penalty shootout victory in eight attempts since they beat Peterborough in the FA Cup in 1994.
Gylfi Sigurdsson had put them ahead after 16 minutes with a rocket finish before a Brad Friedel own goal ensured the tie went to extra time.
Paul McShane put Hull, who lost 1-0 to Tottenham in the Premier League on Sunday, in the box seat nine minutes into the additional period, but Kane levelled with a precise finish.

He always manages to get out of it one way or another.
R&B singer, Chris Brown has escaped the clutches of the law again; sources say that he was released a few hours ago with bail and the assault charge has been reduced from a felony, which could have landed him in prison.
He’s also required to stay 100 yards away from the man he allegedly punched in D.C yesterday.
Chris, who has been in custody since the incident, had been ordered to take a drug test, but the judge vacated that order (we already know what the result would have been though).
His bodyguard’s charge was also reduced to a misdemeanor.

Ever since Niki Lauda's Ferrari exploded in a fireball on the Nuerburgring in 1976, the circuit has been deemed too dangerous for Formula One, instead hosting car companies putting new models through their paces and amateurs trying to set records on a rush of adrenaline.
But after local politicians loaded it with debt equating to around 50 years worth of profit, the famed and feared track went into administration and is now looking for a new owner.
Completed in 1927, the Ring was built to showcase German auto engineering and racing prowess, and now the country's deep-pocketed carmakers have been cited as potential bidders.
The assets include the track and adjacent amusement park that features a rollercoaster that mimics the cockpit g-force in an F1 car - although after four years, safety concerns have a delayed its maiden voyage until the end of this month.

Joe Horn, a welterweight boxer who became an excellent ring official, has died in Johannesburg.

Horn, who fought in the 1960s, was 72 years old when he died on Monday.
He was born in Johannesburg on December 22 1940, and made his professional debut in March 1963.
He twice fought Boela Meyers, the 1960 Rome Olympic bronze medallist, losing on points on both occasions. Their first encounter was Horn’s third professional fight, at the Ice Drome in Durban. The second was at the Ellis Park Tennis Stadium in Johannesburg four months later.
Horn, a southpaw, beat Mickey Ravell, Jannie Jacobs, Gert Maritz, Nelie Hoffman and former SA featherweight, lightweight and welterweight champion Charlie Els.
Hall of Fame referee Stan Christodoulou was a good friend of Horn. On Tuesday, he recalled the boxer’s gutsy performance when he fought Fraser Toweel, who was then at his best, at the Green Point Track in Cape Town on September 21 1964. Toweel won on points over ten rounds.

Three relatives of Manny Pacquiao were elected to public office in the Philippines on Tuesday.
But a representative of the multiple-division “world” champion and boxing hero-turned-congressman downplayed suggestions that Pacquiao was creating his own "political dynasty".

The Commission on Elections said two of the superstar's brothers, along with a sister-in-law, had won village council seats in their home city of General Santos.
Rogelio and Bobby Pacquiao were elected councillors in separate districts of the city in polls held on Monday. Bobby's wife, Lorelei, won re-election as village chief.
Villages are the smallest government units, but seats are hotly contested and considered the first step in building a crucial grass-roots network for politicians aspiring to higher office.
It is common practice among Filipino politicians to have their relatives also run for office to put a "dynasty" in place in the hope of expanding their influence and keeping them in power.

Instead, at the age of 31, Li has not only become the first Asian to reach world No 3 but her game is evolving cleverly enough to hope for further triumphs in 2014.
Although Li conceded the last nine games in a 2-6, 6-3, 6-0 loss to Serena Williams on Sunday, there was evidence of new tactical options and growing self-confidence as she overcame Victoria Azarenka, the world No 2, and then troubled the world No 1 in the final.
At first she downplayed her hopes and achievements, as perhaps she needed to, both for modesty's sake and to avoid self-inflicted pressure.
"No 3 was the goal at the beginning of the year. I don't know, lucky or happy in the last tournament, I made it," she said.
"So it's a pretty good ending for 2013," Li added, prompting the question whether she would now aim for world No 2.
"Why not?" she said, shrugging her shoulders.

Reigning US Open women's doubles champions Andrea Hlavackova and Lucie Hradecka of the Czech Republic revealed Tuesday they are splitting after five successful years together.
"It was Andrea's decision... she told me she wanted to play with Lucie Safarova next year and focus on singles," the 28-year-old Hradecka told the www.tennis-arena.cz website.
"I don't think it will be a problem to play in the Fed Cup together," added the 27-year-old Hlavackova. The Czech Republic won the Fed Cup in 2011 and 2012.
Before lifting the US Open trophy this year, Hlavackova and Hradecka had won the French Open in 2011.
They were also runners-up at Wimbledon, the US Open, WTA Tour Championships and London Olympics in 2012.
Their last game together was a loss in the Challenge Bell finals in Quebec City, Canada only a week after the US Open triumph.
Hlavackova, the world number 11 for doubles, will team up with 18th-ranked Czech left-hander Safarova, while Hradecka, world number 14, will join forces with 134th-ranked Michaella Krajicek, a Dutch player with Czech parents.

Jose Mourinho got the better of old adversary Arsene Wenger once again as Chelsea showed their strength-in-depth by reaching the League Cup quarterfinals with a 2-0 win over London rivals Arsenal on Tuesday.
Both teams rang the changes but it was Chelsea's new-look side that gelled, restricting the hosts to a few sights of goal while consistently threatening on the break and finding the net through Spaniards Cesar Azpilicueta and Juan Mata.
It was a difficult night for Wenger, who enjoyed a simmering feud with the Chelsea boss during the Portuguese's first spell in the Premier League with the West London side and has now not beaten Mourinho in nine attempts.
Manchester United will also be in the draw for the last eight after overcoming Norwich City 4-0 with two goals from Mexican Javier Hernandez, but there was an upset for Premier League Fulham who lost 4-3 at second tier Leicester City.

Retired England soccer star David Beckham has chosen Miami for a new US Major League Soccer expansion team, a source familiar with the negotiations said on Tuesday.
The former England captain who retired earlier this year after stints with Manchester United, Real Madrid and the MLS club L.A. Galaxy, had been considering several locations and toured Miami this summer, meeting with city and county leaders.
His MLS player contract included an option to create a new team for $25 million.
Beckham was still putting together a team of investors, the source said. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because Beckham's plans have yet to be officially announced.
His representatives are already looking at sites for a purpose-built soccer-only stadium, according to a well-placed source in Miami's business community.
"They have people looking real hard. They want to be in the urban core," the person said.

Barca overpower Celta, Espanyol draw

Football | Spain

Barcelona moved four points clear of Atletico Madrid at the top of La Liga as they eased to a 3-0 win over Celta Vigo.
Alexis Sanchez continued his fine scoring form after netting the decisive goal in Barça's 2-1 win over Real Madrid at the weekend when he tapped home the opener after just nine minutes.
Celta had their chances to equalise towards the end of the first period, but went two behind at the beginning of the second when Cesc Fabregas' drive rebounded into his own net off goalkeeper Yoel Rodriguez and Fabregas added a third with a clinical finish soon after.
With Barça in the midst of seven games in 22 days, coach Gerardo Martino made five changes from the side that started the match against Madrid on Saturday.

Real ask Blatter to rectify Ronaldo jibe

Football | Spain

Real Madrid have asked Fifa to rectify comments from its president Sepp Blatter that appeared to mock their Portugal forward Cristiano Ronaldo, coach Carlo Ancelotti said on Tuesday.
Blatter was asked at the Oxford University Union on Friday to give his opinion of Ronaldo and Barcelona's World Player of the Year Lionel Messi.
Ronaldo, 28, was the last player other than Messi to win the World Player award in 2008 before the 26-year-old Argentine won four in a row.
Blatter said they were both exceptional players but added that, unlike Messi, Ronaldo resembled "a commander on the field of play". He then rose from his chair and strutted on the stage in military fashion in apparent imitation of the Portuguese.

Fifa confirm 2018 prelim draw

Football | International

Fifa says the qualifying draw for the 2018 World Cup will be made on July 25, 2015 in St. Petersburg.
The event was confirmed on Tuesday at a meeting of the local organising committee in Kazan.
Fifa also confirmed a lucrative expansion of its sponsorship program for the 2018 and 2022 tournaments, being played in Russia and Qatar, respectively.
The third tier of sponsors will include four partners in each of five regions: Asia, Europe, Middle East and Africa, North America and South America.
Fifa first outlined the plan last December, which replaces the six national sponsors signed for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa and 2014 tournament in Brazil.
Fifa earned $1.072 billion in marketing rights from the 2010 World Cup, and an increase is expected for 2014.

Serena predicts even better years to come

Tennis | WTA

Serena Williams believes her best years may still be ahead of her after she ended 2013 in record-breaking style on Sunday.
The 32-year-old American successfully defended her WTA Championships title, beating Li Na, 2-6, 6-3, 6-0, to finish 2013 with a 78th victory against just four losses, and 11th title of the year.
Williams finished the campaign with prize money of $12 385 572, shattering the all-time women's record set last year by Victoria Azarenka, who won $7 923 920.
It's also the third-highest single season prize money total in tennis history, men's and women's – only Novak Djokovic's 2011 and 2012 totals are higher.
She is the fourth player ever to win four or more titles at the season-ending event and the oldest champion.
Williams is also the first player to win 11 WTA titles in a season since 1997 when Martina Hingis won 12.
Worryingly for her flagging rivals, she now boasts a record of winning 32 of her last 34 matches against top five players.

Ex-Barca quartet plot Celta upset

Football | Spain

A few familiar faces will stand between leaders Barcelona and a 10th win in 11 La Liga outings this season when the unbeaten champions take to the pitch at struggling Celta Vigo on Tuesday.
The Galician club, who recorded only their second win of the campaign at Malaga on Saturday and are 15th after 10 rounds, are coached by former Barca and Spain midfielder Luis Enrique, who took charge of Barca's B team in 2008 before an unsuccessful stint at Serie A club AS Roma.
In his first term in charge at Celta, the 43-year-old has three Barca academy graduates in his squad: forward Nolito, on-loan midfielder Rafinha - the younger brother of Bayern Munich playmaker Thiago Alcantara - and centre back Andreu Fontas.
Celta produced easily their best performance of the season in thrashing Malaga 5-0 at the south coast club's Rosaleda stadium but will be up against a Barca side on a high after overcoming bitter rivals Real Madrid 2-1 at the weekend.
