Valenciennes coach Daniel Sanchez is set to be sacked, his club president Jean-Raymond Legrand told AFP on Monday.
Valenciennes dropped to the bottom of Ligue 1 this weekend following a 2-0 defeat at previous basement sitters Sochaux, who announced Herve Renard as their new coach on Monday following Eric Hely's resignation two weeks ago.
"Daniel Sanchez is suspended from training and has been summoned to an interview on Thursday ahead of an eventual sacking," said Legrand, who added that Sanchez's assistant Laurent Dufresne would take over the coaching duties for the moment.
