 Lobi Stars duo of Evans Ogenyi and Terkaa Melai have won the League Bloggers Awards (LBA) Manager and Player respectively for the month of September.
After starting the month of September with a 0-3 loss at Enyimba in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL), it appeared Lobi Stars looked doom for the drop.
But coach Ogenyi guided Lobi Stars to bounce back with two home wins and two draws on the road at Warri Wolves and Kwara United to lift the team from their bottom-four position into the top half of the log.
The Lobi Stars gaffer just edged Gbenga Ogunbote and Zachary Baraje of Sharks and El-Kanemi Warriors respectively to the LBA Manager for September.

In the player's category, Lobi goalkeeper, Melai, had to contend with NPFL leading scorer Victor Namo, Chinedu Udeagha (Enugu Rangers), Christian Pyagbara (Sharks) and Oghenekaro Etebo (Warri Wolves).
The Lobi Stars goalkeeper put up eye-catching performances in two away games at Kwara United and Warri Wolves as well as in two home matches against Nembe City and Kaduna United.
Melai kept three clean sheets against Kwara United, Nembe City and Warri Wolves.
It is the second time this season Melai is being named LBA player of the month.
LBA has been in the fore front of rewarding top performers in the NPFL since 2009.
